A Message from Mayor David
Bing: I am honored to welcome
all the talented dancers and teachers, gathered for the “Dancing with our
Local Stars,” A Benefit for Habitat for Humanity Detroit. This anticipated event
hosted by Successfully Single, Inc. brings some of the region’s most talented
dance and performance artists together with local celebrities to raise money
for causes it champions. Tonight’s event will benefit Habitat for
Humanity, an organization seeking to eliminate poverty housing and
homelessness from the world and make decent shelter a matter of conscience
and action. Your generosity allows Habitat for Humanity to continue
providing families in the metropolitan Detroit area with safe, affordable
shelter. Unfortunately I was unable
to attend this evening, but I certainly commend the hard work, dedication and
commitment of all involved in this worthwhile event. Best wishes and continued

Dear Janet, I just wanted to thank you for inviting me to
participate in your DWLS event. In everything: the venue, the
details, the high energy of the crowd; it was obvious what a labor of love
this was for you and how hard you worked to ensure a great time was had by
all. Kudos to you on a really fabulous party. I hope you get a

Thanks Janet....would like to see the media coverage
since I missed it....I had a great time....congrats for putting on such a terrific
event to benefit Habitat. Frank Beckmann WJR Radio Personality and Hi Janet, Congratulations on such a fabulous event! We had
a fabulous time. Thanks for including me. Stacey DuFord I just wanted to "Thank You" for a wonderful
evening. The event was fabulous and I had SO much fun; being the winner
only put icing on the cake! As Mrs. Michigan I did well over 70 appearances and one
of my most memorable was "Dancing with Our Local Stars." It pushed me beyond my personal goals and
helped me give back to the community.
It was such an amazing opportunity to be able to participate in such a
worthy cause and work with everyone. I
can't wait to pass along my trophy to the new winner! Thank You for the wonderful tables and all your

We really had a great time at the event. Everybody I talked with had a good time and
really enjoyed the showcased dancing.
Thank you and your organization for picking us to be the recipients of
the fund-raising portion of the event.
I learned some things about offering the food tasting aspect of the
program. The food and desserts were
well received. If you get a chance and

Janet, Let me tell you that you hit another home run out of
the park! You are definitely and officially a DETROIT celebrity and

STARS, you should be very proud of your accomplishment. It was a sensational and spectacular event
with an upscale touch of class. The dancing was magnificent and
graceful. Each of the celebrities made
a positive impression. But, of course,
the night was captured by the professional dances whose style could not be
equaled. The judges were most gracious, insightful,
and flattering to all the contestants.
This was appreciated by both the dancers and the audience. And the
M.C., of course, kept the program on track during the evening. Also hearing the live sound of a full band
at full volume was appreciated in comparison to the routine DJ music. The gourmet food at the food stations was superb
with a taste range of exciting flavors. Imagine all this and 900 attendees. A record for any club! Janet, you are now the reigning Queen of
marvelous dance events. A lot of
people are now taking notice and you will be in demand for future ballroom
events. I took many pictures and I will glad to
show them to you at the next SUCCESSFULLY SINGLES event. Congratulations, Tom Scott Successfully
